Linux-related and Internet-related products in the Linux Mall.

After you read this, if you wish to participate, sign up for a dealer account number. Upon your request we can also list you in our Consultant & Dealer Directory.

The Linux Mall is looking for dealers worldwide.

Here is an opportunity for the entire Linux community to profit by continuing to do what it does best, developing and promoting Linux.

We wish to create a network of people who promote Linux, and related products to others. These people can either sell products directly to their own customers, receiving a dealer discount when purchasing from the catalog for customers, or hand out the Linux Shopping Mall "One Stop Linux Shop" catalog to every real prospect they know.

How do I prove I am a dealer or reseller?

Simply provide us with a copy of a Business license, Sales tax license or other proof of reseller status.

How can you make money by handing out a catalog? Easy!

Linux Mall will be happy to give or sell (depending on the number of copies) the Linux Mall catalog to a prospective dealer, who in turn distributes it to customers. The catalogs can be marked with your dealer number so that when an order is placed from that catalog, either through the dealer or directly with the Linux Mall, we can attribute the sale to the appropriate dealer and credit a percentage of the sale to that dealer. Periodically we run a tally program on our sale database, and then send out commission checks.

Trade shows and conferences

Dealers near the locations of the many trade shows Linux Mall attends are often asked to come and assist in Linux Mall's booth at the show. We encourage dealers to bring promotional materials to promote their own services, as well as Linux Mall products at the show. Linux Mall makes free admission passes available to any dealers interested in just attending the show.

World Wide Web home page link

We are interested in listing contact information for all our dealers on our World Wide Web site, and also providing a link to each dealer's home page. We do ask that dealers reciprocate with a link back to our catalog site (And that link can earn you extra money! See /mallrfr.html).

Lead Referral

Having your name on our web pages will certainly result in additional leads and sales for you. In addition, if you do well, and build a good reputation for yourself with your customers, Linux Mall will also refer additional customers to you from those that call us as a result of our ongoing international marketing efforts.

Linux Mall User Group E-Mail List server

Linux Mall is preparing a dealer mailing list that allows any interested parties to subscribe themselves. The purpose of this list will be to notify dealers of any announcements, special offers, potential speaking tours and shows, among other subjects that dealers would be interested in, especially the sharing of ideas.

We keep you informed! Every month we publish the Linux Newsletter. Each issue reports on trade shows, events, product launches, and other important news relevant to Linux.

Dealer and Preferred Customer Discount Schedule

You will note that each product in our online catalog has a product class A through L, and each dealer has a discount category 0 through 7 (see below).

Using these two pieces of information, and the mall (our) price for the product from the catalog page, you can determine your discount level and how much you pay for any particular product using the following discount matrix. These discounts are not to be combined with other specials or discounts. In time, our online ordering system will automatically give you the proper discounts on any purchase; this is still under development.

Your dealer discount category, 0 through 7, is determined by how many units of one product you buy at a time, or commit to buy over time.

You may buy your way into a category by paying 25% of the annual commitment amount in advance, or raise your discount for a particular order by increasing the quantity of items on that order. Your account will be reviewed annually to determine what base discount level you fit into. |

Products are assigned to Classifications A through L (see Catalog) according to marketing costs, how much we pay for the product, stock turns, and how much support we are likely to have to provide.

If you choose to hand out catalogs and let our processing center fulfill your customers' orders, the commission that you receive will be 5% less than the discount you would have received if you had bought the item from us yourself and passed it to the customer. Your commission in this case will be calculated according to how many sales occurred for your dealer code (lead code) during the period in question, and we pay out commissions at the end of the month after the month in which the sale takes place (i.e., if a sale takes place on March 1 and another on March 31, Linux Mall would pay the commission for both sales on April 30).

For a no-charge return privilege, subtract 5% from the discount you are entitled to, i.e., if you would get 45%, you get 40% instead, but may return any product within 90 days for a cheerful and full refund. We prefer to give maximum possible discount for final sales.

Co-op advertising

We may choose to assist you with promotion if you have a good idea. We will pay up to 2% of your sales volume in co-op advertising fees.
